I’ve seen a lot of writers and artists worry about A.I taking over creative jobs in their industry, when in reality A.I should be used as a tool to help enhance their already existing work. Of course A.I does have it’s drawbacks by taking jobs through the use of Generative A.I tools allowing anyone to get an image generated with enough attempts. Though it might seem great at first, it comes at a cost by causing environmental damage by powering all the A.I centers that companies use to power their A.I models. Another thing that could be argued to be a downside is that companies such as Nvidia who make GPU’s that are mainly used to help with A.I generation are no longer making GPU’s for other consumers such as Gamers. With their Blackwell GPU used solely for A.I being much more successful then their RTX 50 series GPU’s for gaming having a horrible launch date in terms of sales with a lack of stock being provided to stores. The over reliance on A.I can diminish creativity and learning with more and more people using A.I to help with relatively simple tasks that could be done on their own. Overall A.I does have it’s advantages but it’s important to acknowledge the disadvantages that can come with it and it’s recent popularity.
