In the modern age where most of our communication is achieved through a digital lens, it’s important to be able to differentiate the two different ways we are able to communicate. Often these forms of Communication are referred to terms “Analog” and “Digital”, in this context refers to the ways information can be interpreted. For example something considered Digital is similar to how code in a computer, with it being only able to recognize either 1s and 0s and nothing else. While something Analog can be recognized in a variety of ways due to the variance granted by the signal itself, like an old TV signal or a language like the Hieroglyphics that the Ancient Egyptians used. However something to consider with an Analog form of communication is “Noise”. Noise comes from the interference a signal can receive, how ever an advantage that digital signals have over Analog ones is that you are able effectively filter out the noise with a digital signal due to the signal itself being easily distinguishable from the noise and can be filtered out. While Analog Signals due to their continuous nature are unable to effectively filter out noise without mistaking it for being a part of the signal itself.
